Since its establishment in 2002, Bio Matrix Research, Inc. (BMR) has been aiming to offer high quality services with advanced analytic precision and constant cost reduction in its DNA sequencing and microarray analysis. Next to our analytic services, we have been striving to implement monoclonal antibody production as an important pillar of our operations. The entire institute is working hard so even researchers with limited budgets can be satisfied with our high-tech analytic services and antibodies.

We are aiming to be a biotech company by researchers and for researchers. In addition to analytic services, we are engaged in a variety of Research and Development efforts, ever conscious of our responsibilities for legal compliance and social contribution, as we pursue reliable, high-quality products and services to satisfy researchers’ needs.

In order to develop our operations we are also increasingly promoting R&D in high-risk genome drug discovery (searching and focusing on target genes). We will adopt new analytic techniques that emerge from this R&D process in our analytic operations and antibody production technology to not only increase the quality and breadth of our service, but to further contribute to researchers engaged in national and international academia, in research institutions and in the discovery of new drugs.

We believe that the results of medical research should be “shared equally with all people.” Our activities in analysis and research can be seen as one way of achieving this broad offering of results, as seen in our long-term objective to contribute to the eradication of cancer. By applying the cutting-edge DNA microarray, proteome analysis and antibody-production technologies that we have accumulated thus far, we are developing methods for early cancer diagnosis and identification of target genes for anticancer drugs.

Bold challenge to research themes and quest for the most useful science and technology


BMR is a biotechnology enterprise established by researchers. I have conducted research in the fields of genome science and genome biology for more than 18 years. One of the best results of genome science is that it has made the genome information of major living species available to everyone. I believe that another positive result is that it has made researchers aware of the significance of comprehensive analysis Comprehensive identification of genes and gene products that commit themselves to target life phenomena is essential for understanding the control mechanism of the life phenomena at the molecular level.

The development of DNA microarray technology has realized comprehensive gene expression analysis.

The highly sensitive and accurate DNA microarray analysis technology resulting from research and development programs of the Murakami Laboratory,Tokyo University of Science and the genome-based drug discovery center is a key feature of our custom DNA microarray analysis services.to improve comprehensive gene expression analysis, that is, to enable comprehensive gene product analysis (proteome analysis), we implemented research to advance monoclonal antibody preparation technology from day one of our establishment. We have made significant improvements in the processesfor antibody preparation through a combination of high throughput analysis technologies achieved via research on genome analysis using cell biological techniques. In the future, we will commercialize high-quality monoclonal anti bodies.BMR is fully up to the challenge of growth in three key businesses: custom base sequencing; DNA microarray analysis; and systematic generation of monoclonal antibodies and supply such antibodies. We will pursue development of science and technology research themes that get to the heart of daily life, Including development with a sharp focus on comprehensive protein purification techniques, techniques for ultra early cancer diagnosis, elucidation of the aging control mechanism and development of techniques that help control aging.
