Mouse monoclonal antibody Anti-Human MCM2

Catalog No. BMR00646 ¡Î2546C1a¡Ï Data Sheet

¢£Background
The protein encoded by this gene is one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance proteins (MCM) that are involved in the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The hexameric protein complex formed by MCM proteins is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre_RC) and may be involved in the formation of replication forks and in the recruitment of other DNA replication related proteins. This protein forms a complex with MCM4, 6, and 7, and has been shown to regulate the helicase activity of the complex. This protein is phosphorylated, and thus regulated by, protein kinases CDC2 and CDC7.[NCBI Entrez Gene Summary]

¢£Application Data
Detection of human MCM2 by Western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (25 μg) from HeLa cells. [Lot No. 2546C1a-1]

Predicted molecular weight: 102 kDa
  Western blot protocol
Immunostaining analysis in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS. The cells were immunostained with anti-MCM2 mAb. [Lot No.2546C1a-1]
  Immunocytochemistry protocol

¢£Quality of Control
Western blot analysis of immunized recombinant protein, using anti-MCM2 monoclonal antibody.

Arrow indicates the region of immunized recombinant protein carrying 50-200 amino acids.
